With Sony announcing the release of the PS5, everyone wants to know how they can get their hands on it and what the best monitor for ps5 is. After all, if you’re spending $499.99 on a console, you want to make the most of it. And getting the right monitor is a big part of that.

There are tons of monitors on the market claiming to be the best monitor for ps5 and gaming, with new ones popping up every other month. However, the five monitors in this list are contenders for the best 4k monitor for ps5. They each have excellent features, and you should consider them when choosing the best gaming monitor for ps5.

But before getting into the monitors, if you’re shifting to the ps5 from a ps4, you should probably know that about the compatibility of ps4 games on your new console. Click here to read more.

Overall best monitor for ps5

  1. BENQ EW3270U

One of the best 4k monitor for ps5 is this model by BENQ. It has excellent contrast, which makes it ideal for darkroom gaming. Also, the monitor has a decent response time and very little input lag. Both these qualities make it a contender for the best gaming screens for ps5. Additionally, the monitor has built-in speakers.

As for cons, there aren’t a lot. But the monitor does have a 60 Hz refresh rate, and HDR content looks very similar to SDR, which isn’t the best. The former shouldn’t be an issue as long as you’re using the monitor for ps5 gaming. If you think the benefits outweigh the cons, this is the best gaming screen for ps5 for you.

  1. LG 27GN950-B

This LG monitor is on the list for the best gaming monitor for ps5 because of its wide variety of quality features. Not only does it have a 4k resolution, but it also has a refresh rate above 60Hz. Additionally, it has low input lag and a decent response time, which gives users crisp and smooth motion images.

There are a few downsides, though. The monitor doesn’t work with HDMI 2.1 and isn’t ideal for darkroom players. But the wide viewing angles and resolution make up for these faults, so it deserves to be in the race for the best monitor for ps5.

  1. LG OLED48CXPUB

The next top 4k monitor has a large screen with the best picture quality and a 16:9 ratio. The monitor comes with low input lag and little to no motion blur. Alongside all its excellent features, it also comes with the risk of burn-in.

Best monitor for ps5 on a budget:

  1. Dell S2721QS

The first best monitor for ps5 on a budget has a good response time and low input lag. It also comes with good picture quality, built-in speakers, and many connectivity options. However, this $500 monitor doesn’t have the same viewing angles as some of the other monitors on the list.

  1. ASUS VP28UQG

This ASUS is the best 4k monitor for your new console if you want a cheap monitor. Compared to other 28” gaming monitors, it’s a steal. Priced at around $250, you get a 1ms response time and 4k visuals. Since the monitor has a Display Port 1.2, you can also use it in conjunction with a PC.

Good luck choosing the best gaming monitor for ps5.
