BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA

Battlegrounds Mobile India is launched in India with much anticipation and delight among the esports crowd of the country. Krafton has created this version of PlayerUnknown’s Battleground Mobile, particularly for the Indian audience. This version of the PUBG Mobile is quite different from the old Tencent version, which was also very popular in the Indian subcontinent. But owing to increased hostilities among various groups of players after playing PUBG Mobile, the Indian government decided to ban the game application last year. Since then, countless PUBG Mobile enthusiasts were waiting for its return. So naturally, when Krafton announced the revival of the Indian PUBG Mobile with a new name and gameplay, people were delighted.

What Is New About The Game?

Krafton has taken special care while redesigning the game to make it adjustable and accurate for the Indian audience. All the concerns regarding various episodes of violence and deaths are edited out of this new safe-for-India version. It is not that Indians can’t handle a bit of violent gameplay, but then again, Krafton had to do what is required for re-launching the game in India. The very first thing that will sound odd is the new name. It is no longer called PUBG Mobile, but instead Battlegrounds Mobile India. Why the sudden change in the name?

According to many game experts, this move facilitates the approval process since earlier; the Indian government banned the app with PUBG Mobile as its name. Krafton claims the game will be the same, but just a better version for the Indian players. They have set a tagline of “India Ka Battlegrounds.” But it is no just the name that has changed. Several in-game mechanics and UI is changed from the previous version of the game.

A Whole New Set Of Cautions

Earlier, there were plenty of concerns surrounding the safety of children playing the game and getting influenced by it. It seems like Krafton has taken special care to accommodate safety advice and gameplay changes to promote a safe gaming experience. The first thing that many PUBG enthusiasts will find odd is the long-running precaution message delivered to the players at the beginning of each match. Krafton has incorporated a dedicated voice to instill caution in the minds of the player deliberately. The voice will add how the game is not based on real-life but just a simulation. Furthermore, the voice will also plead the gamers not to take the game too seriously. Finally, it advises the gamers to take enough breaks in between the game.

Removal Of The Kill Word

As a measure of precaution, Krafton has completely removed the ‘Kill’ word from the game. The latest version of BGMI doesn’t feature any K-word. Instead of kills, they have added the term ‘finishes.’ So when a player kills another player in the battle, a pop-up will show how he ‘finished’ another player. This omission of the K-word has surprised many veteran gamers. Not only does it sound odd, but also it will take some time to get used to this. According to some gaming experts, this move is a precautionary measure. Many Indian teens were getting addicted to the game of PUBG Mobile earlier and were influenced by the kill-death words heavily. Thus Krafton has decided to omit the ‘kill’ word and introduce ‘finishes.’ Hopefully, this will change how Indians approach the game.

No More Bloodshed

Krafton has also made sure that there will not be any bloodshed in the whole game. The developers have undertaken this action to prevent any communication of violence or bloodshed through the game. BGMI wants to turn over a new leaf, so no more in-game violence. Instead of red-colored blood, when a player gets shot, yellow or green-colored splashes will be seen. Krafton intended to make the game a safe and violence-free model for Indian subscribers. Therefore, no more in-game violence. Earlier, in PUBG Mobile, green and yellow blood colors were an option to change the graphics. But in the latest version of BGMI, they are the default blood color. Also, no dead bodies can be noticed once a player ‘finishes’ someone. The dead bodies will immediately turn into crates.

A New Cycle Of The Battlegrounds Mobile Battle Pass

The previous seasons of PUBG Mobile will no longer continue in the latest version of Battlegrounds Mobile India. BGMI has introduced its cycle of seasons. Each season will be a month-long. Krafton has also introduced a separate battle pass system for Indian fans. This battle pass will feature for only a month. The price of purchasing the battle pass is also less compared to previous versions. However, players will still need to complete tasks and missions to level up their battle pass. But like earlier, they cannot misuse the server systems for completing battle pass tasks. In Battlegrounds Mobile India, there is only one server, and that is India. It will be the same server where players will open their ranks.

A New Modified Rank System

There is a slight change in the ranking system of PUBG. Battlegrounds Mobile India has brought in few new additions to the existing rank medals. The developers have modified all previous medal animations. The new ones look even better with vibrant colors. Krafton has also added a few changes to the medal hierarchy. The developers have divided the Ace rank into three ranks, and two new medals are added- Ace master and Ace dominator.

The reason for undertaking such action is quite surprising. Experts believe that this action is taken to promote high-ranking players into a new rank. Earlier players would fail to achieve Conqueror status even after reaching 5200 ranks and stay as Ace players. Only the top 500 players of the server would reach Conqueror level. Thus to promote high-ranking players, Krafton has introduced two new rank medals for battlegrounds mobile. Players who reach 4200 ranks will achieve Ace rank. Those who continue to move up the ranking ladder can achieve Ace master or Ace dominator.

Overall Battlegrounds Mobile gameplay

The overall gameplay of Battlegrounds India Mobile is quite the same as that of the previous PUBG Mobile version. In-game maps and locations are the same. Krafton has kept all previous guns and weaponry unchanged in both names and designs. The gameplay is also very addictive with the return of previous maps and common battlegrounds. Developers have introduced some new vehicles in the game. One can try to find them to get a ride from one place to another. Aiming and shooting remain the same as before.

PUBG Corporation and Krafton have done an overall good job with the latest version of PUBG Mobile for India. The Battlegrounds Mobile India has already attracted millions of downloads across the play store and AppStore both. As a result, Indian gaming enthusiasts have huge expectations surrounding the return of their favorite game.
