Seoul-based game developer and publisher Mantisco has partnered with Immutable X, an NFT minting and trading platform and the world’s first Layer 2 rapid-scaling solution on Ethereum, to build a Web3 game called Hunter’s Arena: Rebirth.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends, a multiplayer Battle Royale game, is the first Korean game with 12 million downloads across PlayStation 4 and 5. A total of 931 users responded to the game’s launch on Steam in 2020, with a 62% positive rating.
In the meantime, ImmutableX has had a busy month in October. Prior to the agreement with Mantisco, the platform welcomed Delysium, DC Comics, and other major Web3 projects. Other projects include Ember Sword, Cross the Ages, Deviants’ Faction, Tatsumeeko, Undead Blocks, and StarHeroes.

The popularity of Web3 gaming prompted Mantisco’s new game
With Web3 gaming on the rise, Mantisco has been working on an in-house Web3 version of Hunter’s Arena.
Mantisco goals are to provide a game ecosystem that allows users to enjoy in-game experiences powered by actual ownership of digital assets such as game characters, skins, weapons, and other items but also assists users in having fun by revamping combat systems.
Mantisco hopes to provide users with fun by redesigning the combat systems and improving user experience while maintaining the intense and immersive in-game play.
Mantisco is concentrated on producing games that raise the bar for blockchain gaming, unite gamers from various backgrounds, and reward players for their active participation.
The web3 version of the game will be titled Hunter’s Arena: Rebirth
The rebirth of the title has already begun in Web3, as Mantisco states that its goal is to provide an ecosystem that will allow gamers ownership of items.
Mantisco envisions “to give their community excitement and fun factors through stylish, action-packed combat, engaging in-game scenarios and various opportunities for users to progress their skills, competing against each other while enjoying true ownership of in-game assets.”
