There was not a single time that the hype of this game died down. Since its release on June 14th, 2013, it has not known failure. This action-adventure spiked with survival horror became a favourite among players in no time. It is a multiplayer and a single-player game as well. However, it is only available on Play Station3 and Play Station 4. Naughty Dog started developing this game in 2009 and was able to release it after four long years. You can play with up to eight players in this game. Hence, if you are looking for the perfect game to play on your Play Station with your big squad, this is it! There shouldn’t be a flinch of doubt while choosing this game on a dull day.

There are three games in this series – The Last of Us (2013), The Last of Us Remastered (2014), and The Last of Us Part 2 (2020). All of these games became popular and hit as soon as they were released. Nevertheless, if you think of starting with this famous title, you must know some stuff beforehand. This will not only increase your knowledge but also give you an edge at winning the game. Hence, without any further ado, let us jump into the main course.

Updated Crafting

This tip will come in handy for those about to start playing The Last of Us part 2. One of the fascinating features of this series is that you can craft your weapons. This makes the guns even more durable and robust. This crafting feature got an expansion in The Last of Us Part 2. As a result, you will have an instead expanded number of options compared to the previous games. In addition to all of these, you even get animation while crafting. This makes the process of preparing even more fun for the players.

You Get To Use Human Shields

In the recent instalment of the game, you get to see the enemies to be even more human than the previous games. This adds an extra feel to the game and lets the players take enemies, hostage. When you take a foe hostage, its allies will try not to shoot you in fear of hitting their friend. You can use this strategy when you are being surrounded by enemies left and right. However, this strategy will not last long, but your enemies will hesitate from shooting you. You can use this time to shoot them in return.

It is Tough to Beat the AI

If you have not started playing this game yet, you may find it tough to win the first part. It is undoubtedly not a cakewalk. But, you may succeed in winning this game while playing at level – effortless. There surely will be abundant ammo and materials. Yet, the trickiest part for you will be to beat the AI. It is tough to defeat both clicker enemies and human enemies. They are equally strong. Always be prepared to be rushed by them. Of course, you can always choose to play on easy to get a grip first.

The New Game Plus Mode

There is an in-game mode, but you will have to unlock it. The way to get it opened is by making it out from the first playthrough. One of the advantages of this mode is that it lets you keep the updates the guns get. It also keeps the body upgrades intact. Nevertheless, it does not allow you to keep the equipment. This only works on the level of difficulty you choose initially. For instance, if you are playing on easy, you have to play the second run on easy to unlock this mode.

Know About Gun Upgrades

Many of the players tend to lean towards upgrading their weapons a lot. If you are one of them, then here is something on gun upgrades that you would like to know. Prioritize your weapon up-gradation accordingly. First, try to upgrade both of your extra holsters. This will let Joel hold to guns on each side. The second thing you would want to upgrade is the capacity of ammo. It will allow you to carry more ammo and also save time to reload.

Last but not least, don’t try to waste scrap iron. Try to hold on to the iron. This will benefit you in the future.

Save More Often

Whether you like to save your games or not, using the auto-save option in this game can facilitate you. This option of the game does a rather fine job in keeping the game. It will also help you at times with setting up the checkpoints. Try not to rely upon the game. Try to save at least three. You can rotate them as you like. You never know how the combat will go. It may not be the way you had anticipated. Saving will offer you a backup while you get in a pickle.

Hide In the Grass

When you enter the world of The Last of Us Part 2, you will see a lot of natural grass. This is mainly because people were unable to take care of their surroundings amidst the infectious outbreak. This surely gives you an edge as you get to hide behind the tall grass and dense bushes. You can use this to your benefit when you are being surrounded by enemies everywhere. These situations come in handy when you choose not to attack. It will help you not to be spotted and thus not being killed. It might take you quite some time to move but you aren’t going to die at least.

Look Out for Materials

The game does have some amazing features in it. One of which has to be the ability to craft weapons, healing kits, and even explosives. But, here is the trick, you will not be provided with the materials to craft in the inventory. You will have to look for it. Look around your area, you will find plenty of supplies to craft. Not only you will find materials to craft but health kits, ammo for guns, and even bottles. You can use these bottles to aim at enemies. Search for these things and you will have an easier time defeating your enemies.

Let the Enemies Fight Each Other

There will be times when you will enter places where you will find both human as well as infected enemies. You may try your hand at fighting both of them all by yourself. But, that may not be necessary when you can leave them to fight among themselves. Doesn’t it sound fascinating and smart? In case you see that the different groups of enemies hadn’t noticed each other, try throwing something at one group. They will be alerted about each other’s presence and then fight. Then you can face the side that will win the combat. This makes playing The Last of Us easier for you.

Explore As Much You Can

It may be a combat-based game but that should not stop you from exploring the world with all your heart. The maximum portion of the game happens in Seattle. But, the world is huge and remains unexplored most of the time. The most exciting part of the game is optional, skipping this leads you to miss out on a lot. If you explore the world you will get to know about the side stories, which will make the game more interesting. Trust us on this, reading the notes does not mean you are wasting your time. Moreover, it will also help you to find more and more supplies.

Concluding Thoughts

The Last of Us series can be a mesmerizing experience for you. The world of this game is filled with endless opportunities. The graphics and the scenes of the games can spellbind you. In case you are someone who loves to keep a memento, you can use the Photo Mode option. You can lay your hands on this one if you are playing on PlayStation 4. You can enable it from the menu to allow the L3 to activate the option. This is just a side tip. It will help you to capture some of the most amazing scenes and graphics that this game has to offer you. This was all, hope you have a remarkable time playing this game with your homies or alone.
