Valorant tests your planning and gun handling. Its perfect level of difficulty makes the game an attractive option for many gamers. But before devoting themselves to a game, players often like to know the game’s reach and platform, which is where the Valorant player count comes in.

If you’re one of these gamers, you’ll know that the game’s player count is one of the biggest mysteries in the gaming community. However, this article will bring an end to your search because we have the answers you’re looking for. But before that, you should know a bit about Valorant.

What is Valorant?

Valorant is a free-to-play multiplayer tactical shooter game, and it has players spanning the globe. The gameplay and objectives are quite similar to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, but it stands out among esports as its own entity with a massive following.

The game was nominated for three awards at the Game Awards 2020: Best Community Support, Best Multiplayer, and Best Esports Game. These nominations show its quick rise to glory after the official launch in June 2020.

Because of all this hype, many gamers find themselves asking, really how big is the Valorant player count? Valorant stands out like a sore thumb among many other comparable games because they don’t have similar transparent numbers. But why is this?

The mystery

The exact Valorant player count is unknown for a wide range of reasons. For starters, the game’s developers haven’t updated their figures for a while; the last official statistics came out during Valoran’t beta in early 2020. Since then, Riot Games hasn’t given us any new leads.

Additionally, the Valorant player count is mostly a mystery because the game uses its own launcher. If it used another platform like Stream, getting information would be easier.

This means that we can’t give you exact numbers. However, we can offer trends and hypotheses with supporting evidence in regards to the Valorant player count.

Answers

The Valorant player count is decreasing. And we believe this is why the developers refuse to put out new numbers. Why do we think so? Simple. Valorant’s Twitch viewership is going down despite the platform’s rising popularity among gamers. Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that Valorant is losing players.

When the game was first introduced as a closed beta, it drew a lot of hype. Players wanted to know what the first-person shooting game had in store for them, and Riot Gamers claimed 3 million players joined in every day.

Valorant’s beta had 70 thousand concurrent viewers and 470 million hours viewed on Twitch at its height. Also, it was the most-viewed title on Amazon’s gameplay streaming platform.

When these numbers are compared to the game’s performance now, it is reasonable to assume that the Valorant player count has dropped significantly.

Conclusion

Valorant seems to be an excellent game with quite a bit of standing. It is recognized in the community being nominated for awards, and it had great success when running the beta. But the recent withholding of data from the developers and the apparent drop in Twitch viewership shows that Valorant has dropped its player count and isn’t at its peak anymore.
