Following the series of boycott controversy from Bayonetta 3 original voice actress Hellena Taylor, the developer, PlatinumGames, decided to release an official statement to end the ongoing drama.

A week before the official release date, PlatinumGames posted a statement on Twitter regarding Bayonetta 3 drama. First, the company expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the Bayonetta series production. Additionally, they declared full support for Bayonetta 3 new voice actress, Jennifer Hale, and aligned their statement with hers.

**Another Story Behind Bayonetta 3 Voice Actress Boycott Controversy**

Previously, Bayonetta 3 boycott controversy started from a series of video posted by original voice actress Hellena Taylor. She claimed PlatinumGames had offered her a 4,000 USD final offer to star in the new game. And according to her, the offer was “insulting” and “immoral”.

Following her statement, an anonymous source revealed to Bloomberg that PlatinumGames had wanted Hellena Taylor to return as Bayonetta 3 voice actress.

According to Bloomberg, two people familiar with the negotiations stated that PlatinumGames’s offer to Hellena Taylor was at least 15,000 USD. Additionally, the developer’s offer to Hellena Taylor included 5 sessions, and each session was worth approximately 3,000 to 4,000 USD for 4 hours in the studio. VGC also corroborated this report by stating that it was a considerable increase from her fee during the second game.

Moreover, the Bloomberg sources also stated Hellena Taylor had asked for a six-figure rate and more residuals on the game. That is why PlatinumGames declined and, after long and failed negotiations, auditioned a new voice actress for Bayonetta 3 instead. The company later asked Hellena Taylor for a cameo with a one-session fee. But Hellena Taylor turned it down.

Unfortunately, Bloomberg claimed that the two sources refused to reveal their identity. That is because they didn’t have the authorization to discuss private contract negotiations.

Original Voice Actress Hellena Taylor: “An Absolute Lie!”

Responding to the anonymous sources’ claim, Bayonetta 3 original voice actress Hellena Taylor stated in an email to Bloomberg that it was “an absolute lie”. To VGC, she deemed the statement “categorically untrue”. She also believed that PlatinumGames was only trying to save the game and the company’s reputation.

Eventually, original voice actress Hellena Taylor declared to stand by all her statements in her videos.

“I would like to put this whole bloody franchise behind me and, quite frankly, get on with my life in the theatre.”

At the same time, PlatinumGames and Nintendo refused to respond to the comment request. Instead, Bayonetta 3 executive director, Hideki Kamiya, referred to the allegations as “sad and deplorable” on Twitter before deciding to restrict his account.
